The world’s first vaccine against covid for animals was developed in Russia

The web edition newsbreak.gr reported that Russia has produced the world’s first batch of vaccines against coronavirus for animals – 17,000 doses. As the Rosselkhoznadzor reported today, for the first time in the world in Russia, the production of the first vaccine against animal coronavirus begins. Russia registered Carnivak-Cov in March after tests showing antibodies against COVID-19 in dogs, cats, foxes and minks.

According to the Rosselkhoznadzor, the first batch will be distributed in several regions of Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Crimea, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, etc.).

Companies from Germany, Greece, Poland, Austria, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Lebanon, Iran and Argentina have shown interest in purchasing the vaccine, according to the competent regulatory authority. “About 20 organizations are ready to negotiate the registration and supply of vaccines to their countries. Documentation for registration abroad, especially in the European Union, is being prepared and will be used immediately, ”the Rosselkhoznadzor said.
