Self test: 2.5 million units will arrive from China on May 5

On Wednesday, May 5, the first batch of 2.5 million self-tests arrives by air from China, according to a radio program on SKAI 100.3.

The aim is to meet the needs of Greece for the next period, since, along with vaccinations, self-testing is the main tool for “opening” the social and economic activities of the state.

According to the plan, millions of self-diagnosis tests will enter our country every week, as part of the intergovernmental agreement between Athens and Beijing to supply a total of 18 million self-diagnosis tests.

Recall that self-testing was obliged to carry out employees of some spheres of the economy – catering workers, staff and students of educational institutions, and not only.

As “Russian Athens” previously wrote, self-tests have become mandatory since April 26 for everyone working in the public sector (with physical presence at the place of work). Testing must be carried out once a week, before the employee arrives at the workplace, and the certificate will be valid for one week from the date of the Self test.

The check is carried out no later than 24 hours before the end of the first day of the week, when the employee provides his work in person. It is noted that employees can go through a self-test at a pharmacy by presenting an AMKA and an identity document.

As for the announcement of the result, this is done on the electronic platform self-testing.gov.gr.

For those who do not pass the audit or do not register the result on the platform, a salary reduction is provided.

If the test is positive, staff must travel to the health center within 24 hours and have a second rapid test or PCR test.
