Greece: tragic end for a woman who fell on the tracks in the subway

The tragic incident with the death of a woman in the Athens metro occurred at noon today. The woman who fell onto the tracks at the Panormu metro station turned out to be dead.

Nine firefighters were involved in the operation to rescue her, arriving in three vehicles. Unfortunately, their efforts were in vain – the woman was taken out dead.

Earlier, also today, a man fell onto the tracks at Holargos station. Rescuers managed to help him, the man, conscious, was taken to Gennimatas hospital by ambulance.
