Spain in shock: a resident of Madrid killed and ate his mother

Alberto G., an unemployed waiter, lived with his 69-year-old mother, Soledad, in Madrid’s Las Ventas neighborhood, near the famous bullring. It all happened in 2019, when a young man had a falling out with his mother. He later said that he heard voices that urged him to deal with her. The worried friend of the deceased became alarmed after not seeing the woman for a month and called the police.

When the police decided to visit the apartment of the missing, Alberto said that his mother was dead, but in the house. Shocked law enforcement officers found the remains of the dismembered Soledad in plastic containers in the refrigerator, and bones in boxes and boxes throughout the apartment. In a conversation with investigators, he claimed that while watching TV, he heard the voices of neighbors, acquaintances and various celebrities who called him: “Kill your mother.”

According to The Sun, the young man dismembered and cut the body into about a thousand pieces and ate “piece by piece”, along with his dog, for a crescent. At the same time, at first he insisted that he did not remember how the murder happened, how he cut his mother and how he ate the remains.

Alberto G. is charged with strangling his mother with the subsequent dismemberment of her body. If found guilty, the former waiter faces more than 15 years in prison. During the trial, the results of psychiatric studies of the accused will be presented. In addition to the prison term, the prosecutor’s office intends to demand compensation for the older brother of the offender, who lost his mother, in the amount of 90 thousand euros.
