The Greek Labor Minister said the collaboration between OAED and Amazon Web Services (AWS) is part of a new learning model promoted by the Greek government, which is a partnership with the world’s most innovative technology companies.
The memorandum of cooperation was signed yesterday, Tuesday April 20, at a special online event, in the presence of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Kostis Hatzidakis.
Through the National Alliance for Digital Skills and Employment, OAED and Amazon will work together to effectively bridge the digital divide (inequality) in the labor market, with a focus on developing citizens’ digital cloud skills and gaining job skills for unemployed people to apply to the labor market …
That in general, as experts say, will help strengthen the digital economy of Greece.
The first joint action between OAED and AWS, at a pilot level, will focus on free digital cloud (cloud services) training for unemployed people through modern and asynchronous learning.
The Labor Minister stressed: “Our goal is to help the unemployed and the working class acquire the latest digital skills to achieve a better future in the era of artificial intelligence and the Internet. Greece’s biggest competitive advantage in the digital economy is its quality workforce, so we are doing everything in our power to invest in it. “
