Fire in an abandoned building in Piraeus created a huge traffic jam

For an unknown reason, a fire in the center of Piraeus created a huge traffic jam.

Six specialized vehicles work on site with 13 firefighters who are trying with all their might to pacify the fire element. As it became known, at noon on Wednesday 21/04, at about 14:00, the fire services received a call about a fire in an abandoned building located at the intersection of Skalitsi and Deligiorgi streets.

According to official figures, the fire did not spread to neighboring buildings, which are residential. Information about the presence of fire victims (people in the building) has not been reported.

To prevent possible risks for passing cars, the police closed the adjacent roads, as a result of which there was a large traffic problem in the area.
