OAED: extension of the deadline for companies to apply for internships

The OAED has announced that it has extended the deadline for companies to apply for a youth employment program for those who have completed a digital marketing training program.

According to the organization’s management, the deadline has been extended until April 26, 2021. As a reminder, OAED’s new professional experience program targets unemployed people under 29 who have completed Digital Marketing training.

Company participation implies zero cost as interns (unemployed) are compensated directly from the OAED. The employment agency will pay them 550 euros per month, covering 100% of their compensation and insurance premiums for medical care and professional risks.

The professional experience will last 6 hours a day, 5 days a week for 6 months, and there is no obligation for businesses after the end of the program.

The internship program extends to companies that operate in industries (primary or secondary) related to digital marketing or have marketing departments, as well as companies whose owner and employees are engaged in digital marketing (creating and distributing digital content on the Internet , search engine marketing), as well as the development and implementation of a marketing strategy on the Internet and social networks, the use of mobile technologies and devices, and have at least one year of experience in the e-commerce business model.

Companies that can be included in the program, depending on their state, are ranked as follows:

Interested companies must apply showing that they are interested in hiring an unemployed intern. It is submitted on the OAED website www.oaed.gr at the Employment Promotion Center (KPA2), where the company is located (head office or branch).

The announced positions on KPA2 were distributed according to the table below. In the event of an overflow of vacancies, the excessive number of requested posts (up to 30%) will be suspended.

A prerequisite for the inclusion of a company in the program is that it has not made staff reductions within one month prior to the date of application.

The program, with a budget of 16.5 million euros, is co-financed by Greece and the European Union through H.E. Ε.Π. “Ανάπτυξη Ανθρώπινου Δυναμικού, Εκπαίδευση και Δια Βίου Μάθηση 2014-2020”.
