Benefit payments from e-EFKA and OAED until April 23

Payments totaling about 590 million euros towards 1,183,549 beneficiaries will be made during the week, April 19-23, by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, e-EFKA and OAED.

According to the relevant announcement by the Ministry of Labor, on Friday, April 23, the process of payment of the May e-EFKA pensions to the former IKA pensioners will begin, the AMKA numbers of which end at 1,3,5,7 and 9.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, from 19 to 23 April, will pay the beneficiaries a total amount of EUR 2.2 million (intended for 4,984 beneficiaries).

Analytically:

425,108 euros will be paid to 729 beneficiaries as special compensation related to the suspension of employment contracts during 2020. EUR 752,021 will be paid to 1705 beneficiaries to pay special compensation related to the suspension of employment contracts in January, February and March 2021. EUR 912,688 – special compensation payments to 1,712 art and culture professionals, guides, travel guides and other special categories of employees in the tourism sector. EUR 37,548 – special compensation payments to 80 employees with the right of compulsory re-employment in tourist offices and tourist buses. 77,666.39 euros will be paid to 758 beneficiaries (Christmas 2020 benefit).

In the period from 19 to 23 April, the following payments will be made from e-EFKA:

On Friday, 23 April, 505 million euros will be paid in basic and supplementary pensions to May beneficiaries, 1,065,000 people. These are retirees of the former IKA, whose AMKA ends in odd numbers: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9. In the period from April 19 to April 23, 12.2 million euros will be paid to 500 beneficiaries after accepting a one-time aid. 12 million euros will be paid to 19,251 recipients of cash benefits (maternity, maternity, sickness, accident, funeral). 6,500 euros will be paid to 14 recipients of supplementary pension benefits (widowers).

From 19 to 23 April, OAED will make the following payments:

€ 30 million for 25,000 beneficiaries (through employment subsidy programs).

€ 25 million for 62,000 recipients (payment of unemployment benefits and other benefits).

€ 300,000 for 850 mothers on preferential maternity leave.

€ 3 million for 6,000 beneficiaries participating in public labor programs.

It is noted that there are no planned payments from OPECA for this period.
