In Odessa, criminals were arrested who kidnapped 2 citizens of Greece and within 2 months, with the help of torture, threats of murder and psychological pressure on the victims, were able to take possession of 600 thousand euros and six apartments in the elite districts of Odessa.
In February 2021, a criminal group of individuals illegally imprisoned a 55-year-old Greek citizen and his 27-year-old nephew in order to take possession of their property.
For two months, the attackers tortured the victims, in particular, with an iron, threatened them with firearms, and exercised physical and psychological pressure. Under torture, the victim handed over 600,000 euros to the members of the criminal group and the ownership of six apartments in the elite districts of Odessa.
During the investigation and operational activities, the police identified the place of detention of the victims and persons who may be involved in the crime.
On April 13, employees of the Odessa Region Migration Police Department, together with criminal investigation officers and investigators, with the involvement of special police officers under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office, released the victims.
