On the official website of the Ministry of Information of Belarus, there was a message about the closure of the Euronews TV channel, Gazeta.ru writes.
The reason for the termination of broadcasting Euronews in the country was the expiration of the permit issued for this. At the same time, the Belarusian Information Ministry is announcing a new Russian program dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. The broadcasting begins on April 12. The Ministry of Information explains:
“The new program of military-patriotic orientation can find a worthy response in the hearts and souls of spectators and, first of all, veterans of the Great Patriotic War.”
The termination of broadcasting of Euronews, according to TASS, was confirmed by Beltelecom, the largest provider of television and Internet services in Belarus.
