The schedule of opening the economy in the country this morning was analyzed by the Minister of Development and Investments Adonis Georgiadis.
In particular, he referred to the need to resume the work of shopping centers and beauty salons, and also said that yesterday he had asked to open shopping centers. However, the Committee on Infectious Diseases “recommended waiting another week to reconsider this issue.”
As for beauty salons, he explained that there is a problem in this area, which is that the services that are provided must be performed indoors (solarium, laser depilation, etc.). “Since hairdressing salons and nail care centers have already been opened, the issue of opening beauty salons will be considered in the near future,” he explained.
“Gyms to open last”
The Minister of Development noted that gyms will be the last to open, since you cannot wear a mask when playing sports. “When you’re in the gym, you breathe in and out quickly, which increases the risk of coronavirus transmission,” he explained.
However, Mr. Georgiadis stressed that special state support will be provided to sports facilities (halls) due to the fact that this area has been hit hard by the coronavirus crisis.
Finally, Mr. Georgiadis mentioned driving schools. “Although it is not my responsibility, I know they will open soon. They are next in line, ”he explained.
