Shocking news was reported by Greek media: a 36-year-old young woman died while driving a car while following the road. At the same time, two of her children were in the back seat of an uncontrolled car.
The accident happened last night on Papapostolou Street in Lamia when the driver suffered a heart attack. This is the hypothesized scenario of a terrible traffic accident.
According to LamiaReport, shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, a young mother with her children was driving along Papapostolou Street towards the city center.
Apparently, she suddenly became ill (presumably, she had a heart attack), as a result of which the car flew onto the sidewalk and crashed into a concrete lamp post, which then fell on the car.
Eyewitnesses of the tragedy saw the mother lying on her side in the passenger seat unconscious, and behind two small children, who were in shock.
Passers-by immediately carried the kids out of the car, who, fortunately, at first glance did not have any serious injuries. One of the children was later taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Rescuers rescued the victim from the crushed car, and ambulance doctors pronounced her death. The preliminary diagnosis is sudden cardiac arrest. The exact cause of death will be determined by the forensic medical experts.
