An 83-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting his underage granddaughter is taken into custody after testifying.
According to the Greek media, the accused was detained last Friday, April 2, following a complaint from his 17-year-old granddaughter, who, together with her mother, went to the police.
According to the materials of the case, formed after the filing of a statement about the crime, the accused allegedly raped a girl for seven years, who all previous years was afraid to tell someone about it.
The old man denies the accusation, claiming that “this is a vile slander”, which was put on him by relatives, his own over-age children, with whom he has no good relations.
The 83-year-old claims that they were the ones who convinced (bribed) a 17-year-old girl to defame him.
