Our publication “The Acropolis Will Throw Off Concrete Shackles” is an April Fool’s joke. Unfortunately, the topic turned out to be too painful, and during the pandemic, you, our readers, stopped understanding humor. Therefore, judging by the comments, no one appreciated our drawing.
Recall, the publication said that due to the fact that the concreting of the site on the Sacred Rock of the Acropolis caused a wave of protest among the Greek public, it was decided to “remove all concrete and cement” and give the Acropolis “perk up” so that the historical symbol of Greece acquired its original appearance. Work will begin immediately on April 1st.
Alas, no one will clean anything, and the Acropolis, at least for the coming years, will remain as it is now. However, as shown by a survey conducted on the Facebook page, opinions were divided, and many of our readers (primarily guides) agree that walking on the territory of the Sacred Rock has become much safer.
